Privacy Policy

The short version. Groundwork Knowledge collects no personal information of any kind. It has no accounts, no adverts, no analytics and no third-party software kits. It makes no network connections at all. Nothing you do in the app is transmitted anywhere, because there is nowhere for it to go.
What we collect
Nothing. We do not collect, store, transmit, sell or share any personal information. We have no servers that receive data from the app.
What is stored on your device
The app saves a small amount of information locally so it can remember where you were:
- the last age you were viewing
- your best quiz score for each age
This is stored only on the device, in the app's own storage. It is never uploaded, never backed up to us, and never seen by anyone but you. Deleting the app deletes it completely and permanently.
No network access
Groundwork Knowledge works entirely offline. All facts, questions and country data are bundled inside the app itself. The app does not contact any server, including ours. The only exception is the links on the About screen — if you tap one, your device's browser or mail app opens, and from that point the usual privacy terms of those apps apply rather than ours.
No advertising and no tracking
There are no adverts. There is no advertising identifier, no device fingerprinting, no cross-app tracking and no analytics of any kind. We do not use any third-party software development kits.
Children
Groundwork Knowledge is intended for use by children as well as adults, and by parents and teachers alongside them. Because the app collects no personal information whatsoever, there is nothing to collect from a child. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone of any age, including children under 13, and we have no mechanism by which we could.
There is no chat, no messaging, no user-generated content, no social features, no links to social networks, and no way for a child to communicate with anyone through the app.
Purchases
If in future the app offers a paid unlock, that transaction is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see or receive your payment details.
Changes to this policy
If the app's behaviour ever changes, this page changes first. The date at the top tells you when it was last revised.
